If you are a limited company and your turnover is greater than £6.5 million, then, you will need to have your annual accounts audited. We try and turn the audit into a beneficial experience for our clients.

If we already look after your books and prepare your accounts, then we will already have completed a large proportion of the necessary work through the preparation of the accounts. If we are purely Auditors, we turn the whole process into an opportunity to give the business a health check. We use the latest computer technology, not only to ensure the work is completed as efficiently as possible, but also to analytically examine the company’s performance, in order that we may see beyond the figures.

All members of the Audit Team have been put through internal and external training courses and are expected to be professional, polite and punctual at all times during the audit. Where possible, the same Team are used for subsequent audits giving our clients the opportunity to build a rapport and help reduce repetitive learning cycles that can often aggravate the client.

A full review is made of all controls, and advice given where they can be improved. Repetitive tasks are highlighted and current working practices are looked at with a view to help streamline the flow of information. Whenever we feel it is appropriate, we will prepare a detailed management letter, which will summarise all the weaknesses we found, as well as give suggestions for improvements.

At the end of the audit, you should feel as if it was a worthwhile exercise, as well as a legal requirement.
