Structure

We will look at the legal set-up and ambitions of the business and advise on the most appropriate structure such as Sole Trader, Partnership, Limited Liability Partnership or Limited Company. We can also, on your behalf, register you with an off-the-shelf or completely new limited company and carry out all the relevant secretarial work.

Finance

Where capital expenditure is required we can advise on the best methods and supply you with details of financial sources. We can also help prepare a Business Plan if one has not already been done. If you are seeking investment, it will increase your chances of success by having a well thought out, detailed Plan. Even where finance is not required, we encourage clients to have a business plan as this is good business practice and provides a strategic plan for our clients to work to achieve.

Regulatory Requirements

We can advise on all financial aspects of PAYE , NI contributions and VAT; advise on your legal responsibility for Health and Safety; look at environmental issues; advise on Employee rights; and carry out a review to assess whether you have all the relevant licence's to carry out business.

Record Keeping

We will provide advice on the records which need to be maintained not only to meet statutory and taxation requirements, but more so to ensure you have the necessary financial information to hand to ensure you can run your business properly. This can be in the form of a manual accounting system or a dedicated accounting package.

Our bookkeeping bureau can provide assistance but we also like to encourage our clients to become self sufficient. We can provide bookkeeping templates or assist in training on Accounting Packages such as Sage Line 50. There is no substitute for having the information readily to hand and it is more likely to be understood by the owner/managers.

Taxation

You can make Richard Anthony & Companyresponsible for all aspects of business and personal taxation including PAYE, NI, VAT, Corporation Tax (where appropriate) and personal tax assessments. If we are responsible for most of your bookkeeping and accounts preparation, it is assumed that we would take responsibility for your taxation issues.
