Many businesses are now switching to Cloud-based accounting, and are reaping the rewards of doing so.

At Richard Anthony, we use Xero accounting software to help our clients manage their business effectively. It utilises the latest cloud-based technology allowing us access to clients’ live systems. The system may be accessed online anytime, anywhere on your Mac, PC, tablet or phone to enable users to view up-to-date financials.

Following the introduction of Making Tax Digital for VAT in April 2019, all VAT-registered businesses over the £85,000 threshold must now submit their quarterly tax returns using HMRC-compliant digital software.

It is also important to keep in mind that the Government has committed to the future implementation of digital reporting for Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax, which is currently scheduled to be introduced from April 2021.
